Jetty measurements
At the NIOZ Jetty, located at the border of the Wadden Sea and North Sea, we continuously measure water level, temperature, and salinity as well as the wind speed and direction.
The NIOZ jetty is equipped with automated sensors, which measure a suite of parameters such as water temperature, salinity, water level. We use the statistical software R as a real-time operating system to visualise the actual measurement data.
